Hyper-Homunculus

This project is about reflecting deeply on what my body represents to me. I’m trying to draw out a depiction of myself focused not on my mental or emotional state, but as a physical object, which I realise I have hardly known at all until now.

I am taking a lot of time to sit with these reflections, even when they are uncomfortable, so I can move away from more abstract, intellectualised representations, and turn instead to an image of me in a balanced way.

I want to “look” at what I don’t like about myself, and own those things honestly, and then depict them as fully as possible.

This project will be a collection of poems and likely an album after that.
